The Clan of Storms is a notorious group of mercenaries led by war veterans who have structured their hierarchy after the Nomadic humans of the North.

Outside of battle, they also breed and herd animals for trade and income.

• Mage: Naelia / Thunder Queen (Naiad), Air magic: lightning. A hot-headed bossy young woman from a once controversial house linage with a bite arguably as vicious as her bark. If her words don't cut someone down to size, you can be sure her magic prowess will. She's determined, goal-oriented, and uses her foul temper to plow through any opposition. And sometimes throws a temper tantrum. 

• Cleric: Emion the Vampire (Jotun), Water magic: blood control. A solemn young medic with an exceptional skill for blood magic, healing, and potion making. Standoffish introvert with a morbid sense of humor and isn't easily phased or moved, but how else would he survive taking care of all these reckless buffoons he calls family?

• Assassin: Yerzhi / Redeye (Dryad), Fire magic: thermal vision. An unsettling character with a fairly gruesome reputation for the "hard jobs"- sports several even more unsettling laughs and a penchant for knives and excessive blood-loss... yet is startlingly mild and benign outside of his work, usually sleeping in odd places or letting himself get dragged into schemes and the like.

• Monk: Oorok Ironfist (Ogre), Metal magic: iron skin: Mama, as the clan refers to him- the one that more or less set the pace for this family to grow, and makes it his top priority to make sure all his family is well fed and in good spirits. Very much a tank with a sensitive heart of gold, he doesn't take to confrontation very well.

• Brawler: Inune / Sawtooth (Troll), Earth magic: glass. An utter terror as a foe and even worse as a sibling figure; Inune spends the majority of her off-time drinking, shirking her duties off onto younger family members, or being an upstart and looking for a scuffle with anyone that looks at her funny. She might have her heart in the right place if you look really hard.
