Description
Like a thousand sparkling raindrops, I will wash you of your evil spirit! 
Chiaki Shimizu is a shy, sweet eleven year old girl that's just begun her 6th grade in a new elementary school, after her parents relocated into the big city for work. Being from the quiet countryside, she is eager to make friends- and although very curious, positive, and adventurous, she struggles speaking up for herself around so many overbearing people, much less striking up the courage to befriend any of them, and her only friends before now being the animals she helped care for back home. Her first day in the new, crowded, noisy school goes poorly, leaving Chi feeling as if she'd never fit in- But things suddenly take an unexpected turn when Chi ends up saving a mysterious talking pink frog from the science lab's students- and only she seems to be able to hear it talking! The frog introduces herself as Sayuri, the Water Guardian- who had awakened because of Chi's presence... As well as stirring of darkness! There are beings called Devils that are out to destroy the city's precious resources to help them summon an unspeakable evil- and time is of the essence to gather the Guardians and restore the balance! She tells Chi that she has a very special destiny in coming here-- To fulfill her duties as the Lilypad Princess, Chibi Angel Chi! Can she find the other Guardians, stop these Devils and protect this new home she's still so unsure of?Name: Chiaki Shimizu

Her name, when I looked it up means "1,000 sparkles/lights" and "pure water", respectively, which is why it's in her catchphrase. I wasn't sure if the mods picked this on purpose or just on a whim, but it was amazing and helped me immensely!
Also, for those who aren't sure, "Chibi TenChi" is a mashup of Tenshi (Angel) and Chi (Chiaki). Tenchi means heaven, or something similar, and I thought it'd be adorable as a title.
On that note, I was thinking that "Chibi Angel Chi/TenChi" Is actually a title Chiaki gives herself, because she thought the pun was cute- her real title (or at least to Sayuri and the other Guardians) is simply the Lilypad Princess. I wanted her to be especially excited about getting to do something so special versus being afraid of it, because she'd get to take on an identity that makes her more comfortable with being outgoing, which I really think she is inside- it's just the culture shock that was holding her back.
Wish sayuri came out a bit cuter here, but I promise she's adorable all of the time asdgfhjfds {://I She's also very protective and motherly.

A: It's for a casual magical girl contest on tumblr where you are given a list with name, age, power, etc (listed above) and design a magical girl based around it. I say casual because more intense contests scare the bejesus out of me... @_@;; I only entered because I REALLY wanted to see what prompt I'd get and what I'd do with it. So... this is what I got, this is what I did with it. It was insanely fun. I could probably design magical girls my whole life.
I used Sai for the drawing and coloring, and PS7 for text, borders, effects. It took about 3 days total, most of which was designing, color choosing, and playing with effects. /o/
